Next gift on my list is doll clothes. Girls want to have many different outfits so their doll has their own sense of style. I recommend the doll clothes that really show the girls sense of style. If the girl likes the outdoors then I recommend the doll hiking outfit and hiking gear. If she likes sports I recommend any sports outfit they have. I know they have a soccer outfit, basketball, cheer, and a softball outfit. Does she have a passion for fashion? Well I have the outfit for this passion. I recommend the Brocade dress (3rd picture). It is a gold and white dress with a belt that has roses. It also comes with white tights and gold shoes. The last outfit on the list is for the casual girl in the family. It's the Tropical Bloom outfit. It comes with a turquoise top, blue denim looking leggings, turquoise shoes, and a knit headband. That's it for today. Happy Dollidays!

MERRY DOLLMAS! This is a new series where I give ideas for Christmas from American Girl. Now, I know it's not crafts, but It will be great for all of my viewers to see what gifts are good to buy for Christmas. Today it's all about the doll. If the gift giver would like to give a doll I recommend the My American Girl dolls. I found one that looks just like me and it was my first doll. I think this is great for girls because they can have a doll that is just like them. The same hair color, eye color, even skin color can be chosen to look just like you. It comes in a pink floral shirt, a grey skirt with a pink belt, pink underwear, and tan tall boots. It also comes with a passcode to go on an online world. The doll will be animated and she can walk around and even go shopping. So I think this will be a great present for any little girl ages 8+.
Have you ever wanted a doll carrier just like this (pictured to the left)? Well, now you can just follow these simple steps. The materials needed are an 18" cardboard box, some of your favorite fabric, a hot glue gun, a sewing machine, some Velcro, and some straps or ribbon as handles. Start off with the box it has gotta be 18" though. The crafter must have a lid that actually fits the box. The crafter must have an 18' strip of cardboard. Glue one one side of the lid to the side of the box that you want glued down (must be one of the long sides). Glue the strip of cardboard to the lid side that isn't glued down (the other long side not the actual box the lid). Let some of the cardboard hang down (that's where the Velcro will go to open and close the lid). Now if the crafter would like to see the dolls face, put the doll inside the box and cut a square hole where the dolls face is. Now here comes the decorating part. The crafter will need lots of fabric to cover the whole box so I recommend the 2 yd. fabric at Walmart. The crafter must pick their favorite fabric out. Remember the doll owner will be carrying the doll everywhere so make it nice. Measure the fabric and cut it to size of the front. back, and sides. Hot glue the fabric to the side the fabric fits. Cut the square out where there face is. Now cut the ribbon. One small piece for the handle on top. Two long ones that go on the back to make a backpack carrier. Now glue the small strip on top and the big ones on the back. Now the flap for velcro it may not stick if you have the sticky back velcro so glue on on the flap and the other where the flap will meet the box. Have fuj
Deep in the meadow under the willow. Katniss is here and ready for Halloween. To make this costume the crafter will need black, silver orange, grey, and brown metallic fabric, a black American Girl Doll tee shirt, foil, wooden dowels, silver spray paint, hot glue gun or sewing machine, a mini bended stick (like a bow), american girl flats, and hair ties. Start off by putting the doll in the black t-shirt. Then get the template from the minion tutorial for the jacket. For the jacket use the black fabric and template sew it together but leave the front open. To make the pants get grey frabic and measure the dolls legs and make a 2 of the patterns, but make it a little bigger so the dolls legs still fit in it. Sew the two patterns together. Then make a pocket on the side of the pants by hot glueing a small square on the side and make a flap at the top to make cargo pants. To make the boots take the brown fabric and cover the flats. Glue more fabric around the top of the shoe to make a boot glue velcro to the opening in the back. The boots are done unless the crafter would like to make buckle details. To make a bow and arrows get a curved stick small enough to fit an American Girl Doll. Spray paint it silver and add a string to make the bow. Make the arrows by getting about six small sticks and spray painting them silver. Cut out feather deatails out of silver paper or felt. Also add a sharp looking end to an arrow by using felt. For the hairstyle just braid down the hair on the back of the dolls head and the hairstyle is done. This
BEEDO BEEDO BEEDO! The minions are here and ready for a new Sookbook. The materials needed are yellow fabric, any type of denim (old jeans or something like that), black pipe cleaners, cardboard or if the crafter can find small enough PVC pipe for the goggles, elastic, black Sharpie marker, silver paint or spray paint, and a sewing machine or hot glue gun. Start off by cutting up the denim the shape of a skirt (has to be big enough to wrap around the doll's waist). Sew one side of of the skirt to the other remember keep one side open. Fold over the top of the skirt to make a hem, but keep one side of the hem open. Take some elastic hook a saftey pin to the end and put it through the open end of the hem. Keep pushing the elastic through the hem until it touches the end. When that is done cut the elastic and sew the other side. The crafter is now done with the skirt. Now to make the overals take the denim cut two squares that cover the torso and back. Sew one square to the front of the skirt and the other to the back. Then, cut two thin strips of denim that can wrap around the dolls shoulders and connect to the other square. Hot glue one side of the strip to the front and the other side to the back do that twice. To make a shirt get a pattern off this website http://www.sewingmamas.com/free-patterns-for-american-girl-and-other-18-dolls/. To make the hat make two half circles out of yellow fabric. Sew the top of hat the down the sides. Cut two holes on each side make about six (three on one side three on the other). Weave the pipe cleaners through the holes to make hair. Now goggles take the cardboard or PVC pipe spray paint it silver. Hot glue the two circles together. Hot glue the elastic to one side of the goggles and on side on the other and the crafter should be finished.
This is a beach girl costume made by MyFroggyStuff. To make this costume the crafter will need a sock of choice and scissors. Take the sock and measure it on the doll. Once the crafter is done measuring cut two leg holes out of the bottom of the sock. Then cut the band off the sock. Cut two holes off the top and weave the band through the holes. Put it on the doll and the crafter now has a bathing suit. Make atowel by cutting up a cloth or old towel. Get a mini bag at Walmart or a local Thrift Shop.
Here is just a little craft project that i thought was cute. The materials the crafter will need are acorns, felt, a hot glue gun, and scissors. First, the crafter will need to take off the top of the acorn. Then, the crafter will need to cut out felt shapes You will need two white circles that fits the body. Then, the crafter will need to cut out two smaller black circles that fit in the white circles. Cut out two ovals that fit on the sides. Also, cut one orange or yellow triangle. The ovals will become the wings and the circles will become the eyes and the triangle will become the beak. Another option for eyes would be small googly eyes. To attach all the parts to the acorn use the hot glue gun to put the ovals on the sides and the eyes on the front and the beak under the eyes, but in between the eyes. The crafter could also get a stick from the woods or somewhere with sticks. Glue the acorn owls on the stick and the crafter have a cute fall decoration.
My first Spook Book post. In honor of Halloween I decided to make a Halloween costume crafts tutorial. First, the crafter must have the materials. This costume needs tulle (just like in my first blog post), fabric (metalic or plain it doesn't matter), a hot glue gun, and some ribbon/ elastic. The crafter will first off tie a piece of elastic/ ribbon around the dolls waist. Cut some 1in. pieces of tulle and tie it around the ribbon or elastic. Then the crafter must take a piece of fabric and cut it to the desiered length and shape of your dolls upper body. Cut two pieces of fabric so that they can wrap around the doll. Then, sew the two pieces together you then have a top. Then, hot glue the top and the skirt together and it will make the costume. Add details by cutting little symbols out of fabric and hot glueing it on the costume.
Today I will be revewing the Doll Craft book and whats inside. When the crafter first opens the book the crafter will see a book to the left. On the right there are the craft supplies. There is a welcome page in the beginning of the book talking all about the dolls. The rest of the book shows the crafter how to make the certain objects. The crafts inside are the most exciting. The crafter will find wrapping paper, a checker board, checkers, greeting cards, postcards, a yoga mat, a mirror, a clock, and ect. All in all I think this is a great product. It is at Micheals craft store and its $17.99. The crafter may think its alot but, it is all worth it is all worth it.
